The announcement that inspired the group

Tesla will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production

— Elon Musk on X, Nov 5, 2026, 10:30 PM PT (post; also reported by CNBC). Source: X post and CNBC. Checked Nov 6, 2026.

That's an announced wind-down at one factory around mid-2027. It isn't a final production total, and plans can change. We'll report any updates.

In a reply to a user, he added: "the Cybertruck fleet will be around for a long time" (X). Cybertruck lead engineer Wes Morrill called the truck "an incredible technology development platform" that "lives on through Cybercab," and thanked the owners whose adventures he'll keep following (X). We started CybertruckOGs the next day for a simple reason. The trucks on the road will need parts, service, and good information for years, and owners deserve one trustworthy place to find it.

Prices changed the same day

Electrek reports Tesla raised U.S. Cybertruck prices (Electrek):

Electrek also reports the single-motor Long Range RWD was discontinued after about 173 sales. We haven't independently confirmed that figure. Source: Electrek. Checked Nov 6, 2026.

What owners are asking

Two questions we expect many owners to have: will drive-unit, pack, and PCS parts stay available after production ends? And does an extended or third-party warranty make sense now?

We don't know Tesla's long-term parts plans, and we won't guess. What helps right now is to keep your receipts and service records, and to track official recalls and service bulletins. We'll share what we learn, with sources.

Software rolling out

Trackers show build 2026.38.5.12 with FSD (Supervised) v14.3.13 reaching Cybertrucks this week (Not a Tesla App; Teslascope). According to the release notes, FSD (Supervised) v14.3.13 brings a rewritten AI compiler that Tesla says gives 20% faster reaction time, improved traffic-light handling at complex intersections, and better driver-monitoring eye-gaze tracking. The build also lists these features for Cybertruck: Emergency Drive Away (shift into Drive with a Supercharger cable still connected, for emergencies only), Set Arrival Energy, Dynamic Headlight Leveling (specific vehicles) and Automatic Collision Evasion (HW4). It's still Supervised, so stay attentive. Source: third-party trackers summarizing release notes. Checked Nov 6, 2026.

Recall check

NHTSA's recall database lists 11 Cybertruck campaigns across model years 2024 to 2026 (all of them at cybertruckogs.com/recalls) (NHTSA). One recent example is 26V255000 (Apr 22, 2026). It covers certain 2024 to 2026 trucks with 18-inch steel wheels, where the brake-rotor stud holes may crack. The free remedy replaces the rotors, hubs, and lug nuts (NHTSA). Source: NHTSA. Checked Nov 6, 2026.

It only takes a few minutes to enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. Please don't post your VIN publicly.

Tell us what you see

Send us defect reports, safety concerns, repair receipts, and criticism backed by evidence, along with the good stories. Please leave out plates and VINs. For a safety issue, please also file a report with NHTSA.
