Warranty basics
Every Cybertruck New Vehicle Limited Warranty term, what's excluded, and what voids coverage, from Tesla's warranty document.
Coverage terms (U.S.)
| Coverage | Term (whichever comes first) |
|---|---|
| Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty | 4 years or 50,000 miles |
| Supplemental Restraint System (seat belts, airbags) | 5 years or 60,000 miles |
| Battery and Drive Unit | 8 years or 150,000 miles, with at least 70% battery capacity retention over the period |
| Body Rust (rust perforation: a hole through a panel from the inside out, from a defect) | 12 years, unlimited miles |
Some states (including California) add ZEV warranties for propulsion-related parts and the battery on different terms; the warranty document lists them.
